Is there a problem taking a laptop AND a netbook into Mexico

Is there a problem taking a laptop AND a netbook into Mexico?
Someone told me that Mexico only allows one computer per person. I will be making a roundtrip flight from New Orleans, LA to Monterrey, Mexico.

you should be ok. just make sure to bring them in your carry on, or you might lose them [aka they'll be stolen]

I have traveled to Mexico with 2 laptops with no problem at all...and others have told me they have done the same.

I think that is true now days for the duty free portion- you can declare the additional computer and they will search your bags for contraband (that's if they even care- which really just depends on the customs person) it shouldn't be too big of a hassle though. Also, don't but them in anything other than your carry on because Mexico has huge theft problems at the airport.

its not a problem if they are not in their original boxes and you are not a mexican national, what they are looking for is electronics being imported for sale.

Im mexican and i have never heard anything like that. When you are in the "Aduana" thing they will ask you if you need to declare anything, then you are going to pass thru a machine that "ramdomly" will decide if they need to check what you're bringing or not. But since those computers are for your personal use there must be no problem. The airport is really secure.
