Should I fly to New Orleans for only 2 nights?

We need to use 2 $50 jet blue vouchers, and we decided since we have friends who live in a nice suburb neighborhood near Downtown NOLA we would visit. I have never been to New Orleans! THe trip would be pretty cheap, and we could borrow their car. The flights will come out to $150 rt from NYC. Is it worth it to fly in on Monday Mar. 31 early and return home early on Wed. April 2? We want a short trip and these days offered surprisingly good fares. So we will be doing 2 half days and one full day. What do you think? Worth it?

Even though it's not that long that is a good deal and New Orleans is a great and very unique city to visit. You'll have enough time to at least tour the French Quarter and take the street car uptown to the Garden District and check out some of the homes and attractions there. NOLA is such a fun and historical city with great people, amazing food, and great music. If you go try to eat at K Paul's restaurant in the French Quarter on Chartres St, the food is amazing but you might need reservations. I say go for it and you might like it so much and decide to come back for a longer trip in the future; Mardi Gras there is amazing and so much fun.

I would if I was in your position. I went to Las Vegas for the same amount of time from Atlanta. Sometimes short trips are worth it, sounds like you have some good deals too.

Yes. You will have one full day and two evenings in New Orleans, which is enough to get a taste of the city. Hope you have a great time!
