International flight can i bring a straightener?

I'm flying from Okinawa, JP to New Orleans. Can I bring my flat iron/straightener on the plane? It's with Delta. So even though it's an international flight no worries? Thx everyone for the input, helps out a lot. :D

If you put it in your checked bag, if its in your carry on it should also be ok. GOOD LUCK

Yes! No Doubt! I flew on Delta with family members to a wedding and most of the females brought straighteners! So no need to worry!

Who are you flying to on your first flight from Okinawa? Japanese airlines are generally not very fussy about these kinds of things, and if there is a problem, they will do their best to help you.
