About how many hours (driving) is it from Atlanta, GA to New Orleans?

I'm headed to Voodoo Music Fest, but I waited last min. to get a flight. Right now tix are between$300-$400 it's a weekend trip, and I don't have that kind of $$. :) I know that you can get directions online, but I guess I want info from someone who has actually done the drive and has more of a realistic timeframe on the drive. You know those things are always off! :)

Mapquest it, or yahoo or google, all the online sites that provide directions will give you an estimated duration of the trip as well as the miles.

Reality is about 9 hours, counting gas and restroom stops. Add a bit more time if you want to have meals in a real restaurant (which takes longer than take-away fast-food)..

It usually take me right around 8 hours. I go right around 80 most of the time. Nice thing is the time change makes it an hour earlier in New Orleans. I used to live in New Orleans and nowe live in North Gwinnett, but I miss it terribly, visit once a month. I usually try to fly, but the drive is ok.
