Meals and high risk pregnancy during flight

Meals and high risk pregnancy during flight?
i am currently pregnant and will be flying with my husband to new orleans from honolulu. we are going with continental from honolulu to houston which is around an 8hr flight. my question is since we leave at 950 at night hawaii time and arrive in houston at 930 their time will they provide a meal? we will only have a 45 minute layover so that leaves little to no time to eat b4 catching our flight to new orleans. i am worried since i am high risk and have medicines to take.

There should be a meal on a flight that long, but it would probably be a good idea to pack a few snacks just to be on the safe side.

Of course. Continental is like the best airline and they will offer you a complementary meal. If you are unsure, check on their website, and look for your flight and it should say whether they will be serving food. They serve food on every flights 3 hours or longer, so you might get more then 1 meal. If it says snack, a snack usually consists of cereal, and it varies from time to time. But yes they should a offer meal for you.

Here is Continental's meal and snack policy: Typically, on such a long flight they offer at least one meal, but overnight flights complicate things a bit. They will likely offer a snack after take-off and then perhaps breakfast as you get closer to landing. I would take a few snacks on board just in case. http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/content/travel/inflight/dining/domestic/default.aspx Also, be sure you get up and move around quite a bit during the flight!
