Cheap flights to New Orleans for Mardi Gras?

Where should I look for cheap flights to New orleans in February? I've checked out the usual sites (orbitz, travelocity...) and am not impressed with the prices. I know I probably would've found cheaper flights if I had bought the tickets earlier, but does anyone know if I can find something cheap right now? I'm thinking of driving there instead.. I live in Miami and I've done the drive before, it would just be easier to fly.

Southwest Airlines. But it is a peak season there.

expedia. My friends purchased theirs at odd hours. Try looking on down days like tuesday, wednesday, and weekends late at night. They got theirs for 190 a person. At like 1am on saturday night. during the day when they know people are looking for tickets during the day the prices are higher.

Try sidestep.com .. I usually use them for my international flights .. and they've saved me a few $100 each time.. good luck

Hi dizzymis, I dont think you'll go wrong with priceline.com. I did a search on priceline.com and found a flight under $100.00 in February. If you select Name Your Own Price you may even get a cheaper flight.
