What's the earliest you can check bags with Delta (flying from New Orleans)?

I will be flying in in the morning (on Southwest) and staying just for an interview and then heading out on Delta. My flight is at about 6pm, but my interview is at 1:30pm. I'd like to check my bag so I don't have to take it to the interview. So I'm thinking I'd be able to check it, at latest, around 12pm. Is that too early? I know at least one airline had a 4 hour max.

Instead of going to the airport and messing around with checking your bag, just take it with you to the interview. The person who will be interviewing you will be accustomed to seeing people with luggage. It is no big deal. If they cannot deal with a bag for you where you are being interviewed, then you probably do not want to work there. You should be traveling with just a small carry-on bag, unless you are making a lot of stops in other cities. Regards, Dan
