What is the best way to get to the New Orleans Airport from the Amtrak station?
I'm traveling to New Orleans on Amtrak for a connecting flight, but I am not used to traveling.

Take a cab, but it won't be cheap. Try Yellow Cab/ New Orleans online. They should be able to tell you the fare. Also try New Orleans Tourist Info. KTnTexas

Amtrak does not provide transportation to or from the airport. You could use a public bus or taxi service to reach the airport. Taxicabs: A cab ride costs approx $28.00 to the airport from the CBD for one or two persons and $12.00 (per passenger) for three or more passengers. There may be an additional charge for extra baggage. $1 fuel surcharge added to total fare. Airport Shuttle: Shuttle service is available from/to the hotels in the CBD for $13.00 (per person, one-way). Call 1-866-596-2699 or (504) 522-3500 for more details. $2 fuel surcharge added to total fare. Greyhound: Greyhound Bus no longer serves Armstrong International Airport. For more information on public transit in the area, try the Jefferson Transit website, www.jeffersontransit.org, or the RTA website www.norta.com. Leo edit As Bob mentioned below, you might be able to get the E2 bus (its a cheaper option), but I dont think it picks up at the station. You might have to walk down to Poydras St/ Loyola Ave to catch it Leo.
