I want to fly home for a visit, but i want to go from there to a diff. state to back here, HELP?

OK, so i moved to California 2 months ago, i want to go home for a visit, but I also want to go see my boyfriend who is stationed in New Orleans. So i was wndering if there is a way I can get a flight to NC (home) then to New Orleans, then back here to Cali, with out having to buy multiple tickets at different times.

Speak with a travel agent and ask to get an "open jaw" ticket.

Most airline and travel websites have a "multiple destination" or "multi-city" option button or tab on their web page. Look carefully, it's there somewhere.
